About the Contributors

Chuck Fager is Editor of Quaker Theology. He was also Co-Clerk of the 2001 Quaker Peace Roundtable, and serves as Clerk of the Religious Education Committee of Baltimore Yearly Meeting. He has just become Director of Quaker House in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Howell John Harris teaches History at the University of Durham, England.

Thomas D. Paxson, Jr. is Professor and Chair of Philosophical Studies at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville.

Ann K. Riggs is Associate Editor of Quaker Theology, and is on the staff of the Secretariat for Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs, United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.

Robert Juma Wafula Robert Juma Wafula was educated at Friends Theological College and the University of Nairobi, Kenya, and the University of Makerere, Uganda. He holds MA degrees in Religious Studies from Earlham School of Religion and in International Affairs from Ohio University, Athens, Ohio. He is a doctoral student in Religion and Society at Drew University. Wafula has taught at Friends Bible Institute, Kenya, and served as Pastoral Minister at Friends International Centre, Nairobi. He has participated in a variety of church and non-church related symposia, conferences, seminars; has published a number of articles on a variety of religious topics. He is currently working on a book entitled: Christian Traditionalism versus the Rising Sects and Cults. Upon completion of his Ph.D. degree, he plans to go back to Kenya to join the faculty at Friends Theological College, Kaimosi, Kenya. He is married to Nancy N. Wafula.
