About The Contributors
Jody Cross-Hansen is a doctoral candidate in U.S. History at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, specializing in American religious history. She is an adjunct assistant professor in the Religion department at Hofstra University where she has been teaching for twenty years. She is also an ordained minister in the New York Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. Her research interests include American religious and social history, women's and peace history.
Chuck Fager is Editor of Quaker Theology and Director of Quaker House in Fayetteville/Ft. Bragg NC
Pearl Hoover grew up near Fairborn, Ohio in the shadow of Wright Patterson Air Force Base. She served with Mennonite Board of Missions Voluntary Service in Richmond, Virginia and in Chicago working primarily with homeless children and women. She graduated from Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary in 1995 with an MDiv and pastored Shalom Mennonite Church of Newton Kansas 1996-1999. In 2000, she was ordained in the Mennonite Church and completed a hospital chaplain residency in Madison Wisconsin. She has been pastoring Northern Virginia Mennonite Church since January 2001, arriving in the DC area the same week as George W. Bush. She enjoys cooking all kinds of cuisines, raising a garden on her balcony, walking in the nearby woods and playing old hymns on the piano.
Lloyd Lee Wilson is a member and recognized minister of the gospel in Rich Square Monthly Meeting (Woodland, NC), part of North Carolina Yearly Meeting (Conservative). He serves the monthly meeting as clerk of Ministers, Elders, and Overseers, and has served the yearly meeting in a parallel role. He works at Chowan ollege, where he is Registrar and Assistant Professor of Accounting. LLW's second book, Wrestling with the Faith Tradition: Collected Public Witness, 1995-2004, is scheduled for release by QuakerPress in Seventh Month, 2005.
